Belfast City Blog thanks you for visiting my blog about Belfast City, the capital city of Northern Ireland. My name is Enda McLarnon and although I was born in Ballycastle, I spent my later school life and most of my working life in and around the streets of Belfast. It is a city, rich with history and one that has always intrigued me. I always promised myself that one day I would write a book about Belfast and then decided it might be even more fun to do a website about Belfast as that is much more interactive.
So the idea was born and here I am now doing just that. I have always loved history and politics and I will include both of these in this site but not from a news perspective, more from a visitor perspective. There are a ton of other websites out there that cover Northern Ireland news and I want this website to just look at the city of Belfast and understand what makes it the city it is. Needless to say it is hard to separate Belfast from either politics or history as they are deeply entwined, but we will just look at them differently.
